METHODOLOGY

How the indices are built

Every headline index is constructed the same way — from ingested raw data to a published, reproducible series.

STEP 01

Ingest

Remote sensing, meteorological, market and other data sources.

STEP 02

Normalise, weight & calculate

Inputs are combined with other Demeter datasets to derive representative weights.

STEP 03

Publish

Indices are published on a regular cadence with open methodology and are accessible via our website, email releases and the Demeter platform.

As of 05 Nov 2026

Publication schedule

Continuous access to feeds and granular decomposition is available through the Demeter platform.
